Room Rentals

All renters and visitors to the Library must abide by and conduct meetings or events consistent with the Library’s Code of Conduct.

The Peterborough Public Library does not endorse the goals, policies, or activities of any individual, organization, or group that books a meeting room. Promotional materials must not suggest any sponsorship or affiliation with the library. Additionally, the library is not responsible for preparing any advertising for booked events unless in partnership with our programming staff.

Individual Study Rooms

Individual study rooms are available for same-day call-in or walk-in bookings for up to 2 people per room.
Please see a staff member at the Information Desk to book a study room. 

Larger Rooms Available to Rent

The Library can accommodate room bookings for groups of 2 to 200 people in one of our rentable rooms. 
We will apply a cleaning fee of $20 per booking for each room - Study rooms excluded.

Request a Room Rental Insurance Requirements at the Library

Please note that submitting a request form does not complete the booking process. You will be contacted within 72 hours to confirm your booking or discuss an alternative date if your request cannot be filled.

Cancellations are subject to a 10% administrative fee if made more than 2 weeks before the booking. We can not refund for cancellations made within 13 days of the booking.

Located on the lower level of the Library, this room has a computer, projector, and sound system. A podium can be provided upon request.

  • Hourly: $60.00
  • Half-day (4 hours): $180.00
  • Full-day (8 hours): $350.00

Insurance is required to rent this room. We will provide a link to purchase coverage when you book the room.

  • Monday to Friday: 10:00 am to 7:30 pm
  • Saturday and Sunday: 10:00 am to 4:30 pm

Size & Set Up

  • A $50 setup fee is charged for this room. 
  • Lecture style with up to 150 chairs
  • Banquet style with up to 80 chairs
  • Standing room only up to 200
  • Please indicate room setup preference when booking.

An 11x14 portrait-style sign holder is available outside the room to advertise your event or meeting on the day it is held.

  • Hourly: $40.00
  • Half-day (4 hours): $105.00
  • Full-day (8 hours): $200.00

Insurance is required to rent this room. We will provide a link to purchase coverage when you book the room.

  • Monday to Friday: 10:00 am to 7:30 pm
  • Saturday and Sunday: 10:00 am to 4:30 pm

Size & Set Up

  • A $50 setup fee is charged for this room.
  • Lecture style with up to 50 chairs
  • Classroom or Boardroom style with up to 24 chairs
  • Please indicate room setup preference when booking.

We have two individual study rooms located on the Mezz. Book an individual study room for up to 2 hours at a time, on a first come, first served basis each day. Use will be limited to 3 times a week per person.
