We're making the Library more inclusive for those sensitive to bright lights, distracting noises and anyone craving a little peace and quiet.

Starting Monday, March 3, the Library will implement quiet hours from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday evenings. 

We will dim overhead lights in seating areas, ask that everyone speak softly, and try to keep noise to a minimum during this quieter time.

The library has a self-serve Kiosk throughout the City of Peterborough and we restock the Kiosks weekly with popular adult and children's books.

Book Bike

The Book Bike is a pedal-powered bookmobile visiting Ptbo Parks in the warmer months.

It’s a fully functioning little library on wheels! You can sign up for a new library card, check out books and other items, and hear about the library’s programs, collections, and services.

There’s nothing better than enjoying a good book in the park! Check back in the Spring for our summer book bike schedule.
