Donate to the FOL

Donations are gratefully accepted at the Main Library and must be in good condition. Please ensure all donations are in boxes before being placed on the conveyor belt through the small door on the southwest corner of the library off Bethune St. (faces Shoppers Drug Mart)

We accept donations at the Main Library Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays: 10:00 am to 2:00 pm

These items will be accepted for donation:

  • Recently published paperbacks
  • Recently published hardcover fiction and non-fiction items
  • Large-print fiction and non-fiction books
  • Audiobooks on CDs, music CDs and DVDs

These items will not be accepted for donation:

  • Damaged or mildewed materials or materials with a strong odour
  • Books in languages other than English and French
  • Encyclopedias or other multi-volume sets
  • Textbooks older than 5 years
  • Magazines and periodicals
  • Reader's Digest condensed books
  • VHS or cassette tapes
